About The Story & The Song Series

Why The Story & The Song?
Among all the options for children’s books available, thank you for inviting the Story & The Song Series into your home. I am very grateful for your support, and I am honored to have the opportunity to share the hymn and the story behind the hymn with you.
In our age where hymns seem to be played less and less in church and where digital distractions in the home seem to be ever-present, I felt a call to provide an alternative avenue for children to connect with music, faith, and the beauty of hymns. I wanted to offer my kids an opportunity to step away from the glow of screens, to hold a physical book in their hands, and to embark on a journey of exploration thr-ough the power of words, illustrations, and melodies.
At the same time, I wanted to convey that hymns are more than just melodies and poetic verses; they are vessels that carry beauty, God’s truth, and honesty. When we delve into the rich narratives woven within each hymn and the story behind the hymn, we unlock a world of meaning and depth that enhances our connection to the music and its message. By understanding the story behind hymns, we gain a glimpse into the hearts and minds of those who composed them. Whether it's a hymn born out of personal loss, a celebration of joy and gratitude, or a testament to faith in the face of adversity, each story brings the lyrics of the hymn to life in a new way and gives them a context that resonates deeply within them.
